ZZamFresh is one of the largest seafood companies in the world and the world’s largest producer of tilapia, harvesting 475,000 tonnes annually.

ZamFresh Agriculture Limited, part of the Sun Share Group, was established in Zambia in 2018. The company operates across fisheries, aquaculture, planting, and seedlings, owning 30,000 hectares of land and ranking among the largest fishing companies in Southern Africa.

Our operations are centered in Siavonga on Lake Kariba, where tilapia are raised in clean, deep-water cages and covered breeder ponds. Fish are fed using AFR Strong Feed with automatic feeders, ensuring optimal growth and quality.

After harvesting, fish are transported to our distribution hub on Mungwi Road, Lusaka, in refrigerated trucks packed with ice, and then distributed to supermarkets, vendors, restaurants, and households nationwide.

We combine scale, technology, and local expertise to deliver fresh, nutritious, and high-quality tilapia to our customers.

Our operations are centered in Siavonga on Lake Kariba, where fish are raised in clean, deep-water cages. Once harvested, the fish go through a modern processing facility where they are:

  Gutted and cleaned using hygienic equipment

  Packed with ice immediately to lock in freshness

  Stored in cold chain facilities to maintain safe temperatures
